Alberta Community Response Team seize quantity of fentanyl, cocaine and firearm

Your Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Service, conclude a drug trafficking investigation.

On Aug. 19, 2025, the Alberta Community Response Team executed a search warrant on a hotel room of the Aladdin Motel on 111 Avenue in Edmonton. As a result of the search warrant, police arrested a 34-year-old individual, a resident of Edmonton, a 21-year-old individual, a resident of Vancouver and a 34-year-old individual, a resident of Edmonton.

As a result of the investigation, police located and seized:

  • 36 grams of Fentanyl;
  • 9 grams of Cocaine;
  • Ammunition;
  • Loaded 9mm Glock handgun;
  • Scales;
  • Canadian currency; and
  • Numerous cell phones.

All individuals are jointly charged with:

  • Two Counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking;
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000;
  • Possess a Firearm without a licence;
  • Possess a restricted firearm;
  • Possess a firearm in a careless manner.

The 21-year-old and the 34-year-old individuals are additionally charged jointly with:

  • Two counts of Possess a firearm while prohibited from doing so.

All individuals were held for a bail hearing, and all were remanded into custody. They are to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Edmonton on Aug. 28, 2025.
