Parkland RCMP request for information in regard to suspicious occurrence involving a minor

Parkland RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a male who approached a 12-year-old boy and offered him a ride.  The incident took place at the Wabamun Provincial Park at about 3:30 PM on Aug. 27, 2025.

The unknown male was operating a white van with dark windows and had the words “Plumbing &” written on the side.  The unknown male offered the 12-year-old boy a ride and asked if he was cold and lost.  A bystander was flagged down by the boy who stood by him until the unknown male left without further incident.

Police are looking to speak with the unknown male as part of the investigation. The male is described as:

  • 40’s age range
  • Fair complexion
  • Blue eyes
  • 6 feet 3 inches tall
  • 200 pounds
  • Brown hair, long brown beard
  • Wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans

A composite sketch was completed and is being released in the hopes of identifying and speaking with the male.  Police would also like to speak with the bystander who helped the boy.
