The owner of two stolen snowmobiles tipped police to their location which led to the arrest of two suspects and weapons seized.

On October 30, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., the owner of stolen snowmobiles and trailer called police to report the location when he recognized them as his own. Kamloops RCMP frontline officers attended the 900-block of Columbia Street West, where two suspects immediately fled.  Both men were arrested after a brief foot pursuit.

As part of the investigation a truck that was reported stolen from Enderby was also recovered along with three handguns, a sawed-off shotgun, smoke grenade and smoke bomb, cell phone jammer, hard body armour, suspected Fentanyl, and methamphetamine, along with cash and a variety of ammunition.

“The combination of the items seized from the recovered stolen vehicle posed a threat not only to the community but also responding officers,” said Superintendent Jeff Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.  “This seizure will have an impact and disrupt criminals here and other neighbouring jurisdictions.”

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2025-36336.
