Richmond RCMP partners with Metro Vancouver Transit Police, and ICBC to host pedestrian safety outreach event to raise awareness during fall campaign.

On November 5th, 2025, Richmond RCMP, Transit Police, ICBC and community policing volunteers will be at Brighouse station handing out free safety reflectors to pedestrians as part of a province-wide pedestrian safety campaign, urging pedestrians and drivers to stay safe as collisions with pedestrians spike at this time of year.

Police data shows an increase in pedestrian fatalities between October and January, as the weather changes and daylight hours decrease.  With clocks having fallen back an hour on Sunday, November 2nd, Richmond RCMP is reminding the public of the importance of pedestrian visibility and safe, focused driving practices.

  • When:  Wednesday, November 5th at 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Where:  Brighouse station, Richmond

ICBC, RCMP, Transit Police and community policing volunteers will be on site handing out reflectors to promote visibility in the coming fall and winter months.

A Richmond RCMP representative will be available for interviews.
