Dauphin RCMP and Manitoba RCMP CREST focus on retail crime

On Tuesday September 9, 2025, Dauphin RCMP officers along with assistance from Manitoba RCMP West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) completed a retail theft enforcement project in the City of Dauphin.

Three individuals were found to be in breach of release order conditions at retail stores.

Tamara Sass, 53, of Dauphin, was remanded in custody and charged with:

  • Failing to comply with a release order x3
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

Joey Nepinak, 41, of Pine Creek First Nation was remanded in custody and charged with:

  • Failing to comply with a release order

Brandy Angus, 45, of Dauphin, was remanded in custody and charged with:

  • Failing to comply with a release order

Police also located one individual trespassing at a retail store and charged them with trespassing.

Two other individuals were also charged after they were observed consuming liquor in public outside of a retail store.

Dauphin RCMP are committed to serving the community and proactively finding ways to combat all types of theft. The RCMP appreciates the support of businesses and residents in these initiatives and encourages everyone to report theft as soon as possible upon witnessing the crime.
