Update - Island Lake RCMP searching for missing 32-year-old woman

Update - The 32-year-old female reported missing on September 15, 2025, has been located deceased. Although no criminality is suspected in her death, the investigation remains ongoing as we await the results of the autopsy.

On September 15, 2025, at 4:35 pm, Island Lake RCMP received a report of a missing 32-year-old female from St. Theresa Point First Nation. 

Destiny Wood, 32, was last seen on September 9, 2025, at approximately 11 pm at her mother’s residence in the community. 

Her family and RCMP are concerned for her safety.

She’s described as being 5’4’’, with a medium build with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, a tan colored sweater and pink, black and white Nike shoes. She has numerous tattoos, most noticeably the word “Ralph” on her left jaw, a dreamcatcher on her right shoulder and a wolf paw on her chest.
