On October 12, 2025, at 8:10 am, Moose Lake RCMP received a call from a 29-year-old female advising that her and two other females (27,24) had been held against their will and assaulted at a nearby residence before they were able to flee.

Officers met with the victims and obtained statements where they disclosed that they were accused of stealing money by the occupants of the home. They were then held against their will, searched and then assaulted prior to being allowed to leave. While this occurred, the victims observed machetes, bear mace and a sawed-off shotgun inside the home.

With the information provided, a search warrant, which had already been drafted for the search of this home on an unrelated mater, was executed with the assistance of officers from the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and the Manitoba North District Containment team. As a results of the search, officers seized multiple edged weapons, cash, ammunition and other drug-related paraphernalia.

Inside the home, nine adults were located and arrested with five of them later being released without charge.

RCMP have charged Rebecca Campbell, 28, and Tiffany Campbell, 31, with Forcible confinement and Assault in relation to this incident. Billy Campbell, 33, was arrested on several outstanding warrants and also charged with Resisting arrest. The three accused were remanded into custody. A 40-year-old male was charged with Possession of property obtained by crime and released on an Undertaking for a future court appearance.

Moose Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
