RCMP seeking public’s help following armed robbery

The Codiac Regional RCMP are seeking the public’s help following an armed robbery in Dieppe, N.B.

On August 20, 2025, the Codiac Regional RCMP received a report that an armed robbery had occurred on a walking trail near Champlain Street and Virginia Avenue, in Dieppe, on August 19, 2025, shortly after 9:30 p.m.

An individual approached two individuals sitting on a bench close to a walking trail with what is believed to be a wooden object, possibly a baseball bat, demanding personal items. After a short altercation, the individual fled the scene on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

A description of the individual is currently not available.

Police are now asking anyone who was walking, travelling in, or who resides in the area, and may have a security camera or dash cam footage from the time of the incident, or who has information that may help further the investigation, is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400. The investigation is ongoing.
