Woman arrested following drug trafficking investigation

A woman from Moncton, N.B., has been arrested following a drug trafficking investigation in Moncton, N.B.

On August 5, 2025, The New Brunswick RCMP Provincial Crime Reduction Unit (PCRU) began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in Moncton.

On August 22, 2025, PCRU members, with assistance from the Codiac Regional RCMP's Crime Reduction Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Joyce Avenue, in Moncton, N.B.

As a result of the search, police seized significant quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, benzodiazepine pills, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, cannabis, hash, a taser, a loaded sawed off shot gun, various ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, cell phones and money.

A 29-year-old woman from Moncton was arrested without incident and later released. She is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on November 19, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.

The public plays an important role in helping to reduce, prevent and solve crime, including the trafficking of illegal drugs. Anyone with information about, or who suspects, illegal drug activity in their neighbourhood is asked to contact their local police. The investigation is ongoing.
