Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP is investigating after a vehicle was damaged during a disturbance outside a home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. A 35-year-old man was arrested and faces multiple charges.
Shortly before 6:00 p.m. on September 17, Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP responded to reports of a disturbance outside a home on Lethbridge Steet. Police arrived on scene to find that a passenger van had been damaged and the person responsible had left on foot.
Police located the 35-year-old man nearby. He was intoxicated and combative with officers as he was taken into police custody. The man was transported to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay detachment to be held until sober. While in custody, he also damaged the police transport vehicle and items inside the police detachment.
He was later released on strict conditions and faces three counts of mischief related charges. He is expected to appear in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Provincial Court on November 13, 2025.
The investigation continues, and additional charges are possible.
