Whitbourne RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred on September 16, 2025, at Needs Convenience in South Dildo.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday September 16, 2025, police responded to a report of a commercial alarm triggered at the Needs Convenience in South Dildo. Officers arrived to find the glass of the front door had been smashed. Once inside the store, the suspects took lotto tickets, alcohol and a variety of other items.
Police believe that as many as three suspects were involved in this crime, and that they may have traveled in a black or dark coloured SUV. One suspect was seen on video surveillance wearing all black clothing, with a black face mask and black work gloves.

An individual found in possession of stolen lotto tickets was arrested by the Trinity-Conception RCMP in the Bay Roberts area on Tuesday.
The criminal investigation is continuing. Investigators are asking residents in the area of the convenience store, especially in proximity to Old Shop Road, to check any surveillance footage for the suspects, the vehicle or other suspicious activity during the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 16.
