Clarenville RCMP arrest man after assault in local pub

Clarenville RCMP arrested 44-year-old Dylan Ryan on Saturday evening following reports of an assault at a pub and a theft at a gas bar along Manitoba Drive.
Just before 10:00 p.m. on November 1, 2025, police received a report of a man who assaulted the bartender inside a local establishment. Police learned that the suspect caused a disturbance inside by attempting to fight other patrons, then assaulted an employee who confronted him and ordered him to leave.
Clarenville RCMP also determined that the same suspect had stolen multiple pre-packaged ice cream products from a gas station prior to the alleged assault.
The man, 44-year-old Dylan Ryan, was located when he returned to the gas station and arrested without incident.
He was held in custody overnight and appeared in court over the weekend. Ryan was remanded by the courts to appear in court at a later date.
Ryan is facing charges under the Criminal Code of:
- Assault,
- Causing a disturbance, disturbing the peace,
- Failure to comply with condition of a Release Order – three counts,
- Failure to comply with a Probation Order.
The investigation is ongoing.
