In May, the Serious Incident Response Team began investigating an alleged sexual assault involving Cst. Manas Parray, a member of Inverness County District RCMP. As a result of SiRT’s independent investigation, Cst. Parray was charged earlier today with Sexual Assault.

I want to assure Nova Scotians that we take all allegations of misconduct very seriously. Cst. Parray is currently suspended with pay and all disciplinary avenues are being pursued through the internal conduct process that has been launched. Further, Cst. Parray’s duty status will be continuously assessed throughout both the court and internal processes.
