Kings District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Cambridge.

On September 19, at approximately 6 p.m., RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS, responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 101 between exits 14 and 15. Officers learned that a Toyota Yaris travelling west and a Honda Pilot travelling east had collided head on.

The lone occupant of the Toyota, a 30-year-old man from New Brunswick, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital by EHS LifeFlight, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The occupants of the Honda, a 47-year-old man and a child, both from Kings County, sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital by EHS.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones during this difficult time.
