The RCMP's Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a man with child sexual abuse and exploitation material offences.
On October 23, the ICE Unit and RCMP Digital Forensic Services, assisted by West Hants RCMP’s General Investigation Section and Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Mountainside Park, Martock, and seized electronic evidence.
Investigators were directed to the home after a social media application notified law enforcement that child sexual abuse and exploitation material had been transmitted through its service.
As a result of the investigation, Adrian Charles Hebb, 43, of Martock, has been charged with:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Transmission of Child Pornography
- Accessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
Hebb was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on January 20, 2026.
In Nova Scotia, it’s mandatory for citizens to report suspected child sexual abuse and exploitation material; anyone who comes across it must report it to police. Failure to report could result in penalties similar to those for failure to report child abuse set out in the Child and Family Services Act. Be a voice for children who are victims of sexual exploitation by reporting suspected offences to your local police or to Canada's national tipline: www.cybertip.ca.
