Iqaluit Fire Department investigating residential fire with support from the Iqaluit RCMP

On October 30, 2025, at approximately 3:56 p.m, the Iqaluit RCMP received a report of a fire to a residential building on Queen Elizabeth Way. 

The Iqaluit Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries and no major structural damage. Residents were temporarily evacuated and allowed to return once the scene was secured and deemed safe.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Iqaluit Fire Department with support from the Iqaluit RCMP.

The Iqaluit RCMP are seeking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information related to the incident to contact them at 867-975-0123.
