Multiple search warrants executed in Iqaluit

Between October 11, 2025, and October 15, 2025, the Iqaluit RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS), with the assistance of the Iqaluit RCMP Detachment, executed search warrants on eight residences in Iqaluit, Nunavut. As a result, police seized drugs, cash, weapons and evidence consistent with drug trafficking were seized.
Police have charged the following individuals:
- Lisa Panniluk (age 39) with Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) CDSA
- Jean Marc-Lalonde (age 34) with Trafficking a controlled substance, Section 5(1) CDSA
- Renee Lalonde (age 38) with Trafficking a controlled substance, Section 5(1) CDSA, and Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) CDSA.
- Patrick MacMunn (age 31) with Trafficking a controlled substance, Section 5(1) CDSA
- Allan Broughton (age 67) with Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) CDSA and Possession of proceeds of crime, Section 354(1)(a) CC
- Basja Ellsworth (age 31) with Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) CDSA and Possession of proceeds of crime, Section 354(1)(a) CC
- Aviaja Kunuk (34) with Conspiracy to commit drug trafficking, Section 465(1) CC
- Jamesie Nauyuk (age 42) with Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) CDSA, Possession of proceeds of crime, Section 354(1)(a) CC and Possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to Section 91(2) CC
- Tommy Nuvaqiq (age 41) with Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) CDSA, Possession of proceeds of crime, Section 354(1)(a) CC and Possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to Section 91(2) CC
- Murray McLaughlin (age 53) with Conspiracy to commit drug trafficking, Section 465(1) CC and Possession of proceeds of crime, Section 354(1)(a) CC.
These operations are part of an ongoing effort to combat drug trafficking and underscore the RCMP’s commitment to protect public safety.
