Missing Tulita youth located deceased

On the evening of August 21st, Tulita RCMP were notified that a person had been located deceased on the shore of the Mackenzie River between Tulita and Norman Wells, near Prohibition Creek.

Officers attended the location and assisted in the recovery of the person, who was confirmed to be 16-year-old River Clement, who had previously been reported missing on August 15th.

The Coroner’s Office has been engaged and is investigating in partnership with the RCMP. The RCMP extends it sincere condolences to the family.
