Fort Resolution RCMP is coordinating a search and rescue operation to locate an overdue boater.
On September 3rd, at 5:23 p.m., Fort Resolution RCMP received a report of a male who had left Taltson Bay on boat at approximately 10:00 a.m. that day, with plans to travel towards Fort Resolution. According to witnesses, the 35-year-old male, from Fort Resolution, was intoxicated and without a personal flotation device when he departed.

Efforts to locate the missing man include an aerial search by the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association. The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, Canadian Rangers and community members aboard local vessels are also assisting to locate the overdue boater.
Despite these efforts, the man has not been located. Search efforts are ongoing.
The Fort Resolution RCMP would like to thank all the volunteers and searchers who are contributing to the search efforts.
