Fort Smith RCMP have located the 14-year-old youth who was a passenger in the single-vehicle collision that occurred in Fort Smith on November 1st.
On Saturday, November 1st, at 6:00 p.m., RCMP in Fort Smith were called to attend a single-vehicle collision on Highway 5, near King Street.
While investigating the matter, RCMP were told by witnesses that a youth was seen leaving the scene on foot. Fort Smith RCMP extensively searched for the youth as he was involved in a car accident and may require medical attention.
In the evening of November 3rd, the 14-year-old youth attended the Fort Smith Health Centre with injuries related to the vehicle collision. The youth is in stable condition and his family has been notified.
A 43-year-old male, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, has been transferred to Edmonton for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing. Fort Smith RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
