PEI RCMP attend barn fire in Oyster Bed Bridge

On February 10^th, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Queens District RCMP, along with New Glasgow Fire Department and North River Fire Department attended a barn fire in the community of Oyster Bed Bridge. When RCMP officers arrived the barn was severely damaged by the fire, unfortunately some animals did perish including some chickens, pigs, and a horse.  The PEI Fire Marshall’s Office was notified, the fire is believed to be accidental resulting from an electrical issue.
