Police Dog finds Impaired Driver hiding in a cornfield.

On September 6, 2025 at 12:30 a.m., Kings Dristrict RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 3 in Millview. A sedan was located in a ditch and the driver had fled the scene. RCMP Police Dog Service and an RCMP Drone Operator searched the area for the driver. The Police Dog Service located the 18-year-old driver a short distance away in a cornfield. He was arrested for impaired driving by alcohol. An unsafely stored shotgun and ammunition was also seized from the vehicle. The driver was not seriously injured in this incident.

The accused will appear in court on October 27, 2025 in Charlottetown to answer to charges from this event.
