One individual is facing multiple charges after a drug trafficking investigation in Moose Jaw led by Saskatchewan RCMP’s Moose Jaw Crime Reduction Team, one of the Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT).
On September 9, 2025, following a month-long investigation, officers with the Moose Jaw CRT executed a search warrant at a residence on Main Street in Moose Jaw, SK.
At the residence, police officers located and seized: 2.4 kilograms of methamphetamine, 386 grams of crack cocaine, 112 grams of fentanyl, 58 grams of MDMA (known as ecstasy) and $3,655 in cash.
“This is the first significant drug seizure since we integrated the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Moose Jaw Crime Reduction Team with the Moose Jaw Police Service. Interoperability is the basis of the SERT program, whose mandate is to fight serious crime with active and intelligence-led operations around the province. This integration benefits everyone. The SERT program has more reach, and residents are safer for it,” said Staff-Sergeant Kory Davidsen, Senior Investigative Officer of the Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams.
As a result of police investigation, 21-year-old Anurag Reji of India is charged with:
- four counts, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act; and
- one count, possession of proceeds of crime under $5000; Section 354(1) of the Criminal Code.
Anurag Reji has appeared before the Moose Jaw Provincial Court on September 10, 2025, where he was remanded into custody and is to appear again on September 15, 2025.
