Nipawin RCMP make quick arrest in string of break and enters

Nipawin RCMP received a report of a break and enter on September 11, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Officers immediately responded to a business on the 300 block of 1st Avenue West in Nipawin, SK and located an adult female inside the business who was arrested by police.
Two additional break and enters on the 1000 block of 8th Street West were also reported to Nipawin RCMP on September 11, 2025. All three businesses reported theft of an undetermined amount of cash and investigation determined a single suspect was responsible.
“Responding officers arrived within minutes of the call which was helpful in making a timely arrest in this case,” says Nipawin Detachment Commander S/Sgt. Kyle Wyonzek.
As a result of investigation 20-year-old Daynia Head of Red Earth Cree Nation is charged with:
- 3 counts, break and enter to a business and commit an indictable offence, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code;
- 3 counts, theft under five thousand dollars, Section 334(b) Criminal Code;
- 3 counts, mischief damage to property less than five thousand dollars, Section 430 (4) Criminal Code.
Daynia Head is being held in custody for appearance via CCTV at Melfort Provincial Court on September 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. (Information# 90538923)
