ARRESTED: Battlefords RCMP asking public to report sightings of Angel Bear

Battlefords RCMP arrested Angel Bear on October 28 in North Battleford, SK. She is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on October 29, 2025.
Background
2025-10-27
On October 22, 2025 at approximately 8:00 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a robbery at a business on the Highway #16 Bypass in North Battleford, SK.
Investigation determined a group of individuals entered the business, threatened a male with a knife, and demanded the male’s phone and wallet. The group left the business in a vehicle. No physical injuries were reported to police.
Officers responded immediately and observed the suspect vehicle leaving a nearby parking lot. Officers activated their vehicle’s emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle pulled over. As a result of investigation, one male and five females were arrested. During the arrest, one of the females provided a false name to officers.
21-year-old Mia Starchief from Mosquito, Grizzly Bear's Head, Lean Man First Nation and 33-year-old Celicia Pete from North Battleford are each charged with:
- one count, robbery, Section 344(1)(b), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, uttering threats against a person, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code.
Mia Starchief is additionally charged with one count, resists/obstructs peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code.
Celicia Pete was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Battlefords RCMP.
Mia Starchief and Celicia Pete appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on October 23, 2025.
The male and three other females were later released without charge.
As a result of continued investigation, 35-year-old Angel Bear from North Battleford is charged with:
- one count, robbery, Section 344(1)(b), Criminal Code; and
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.
A warrant has been issued for Angel Bear’s arrest. Battlefords RCMP continue work to locate Angel Bear and ask members of the public to report sightings and information on her whereabouts.

- Height: 5’2”
- Weight: 100 lbs
- Eye colour: green
- Hair colour: brown
