Between October 18 and October 21, 2025, Turtleford RCMP – assisted by Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction Team (CRT) – conducted an apprehension operation linked to several ongoing investigations in the Turtleford area.

During the four-day operation, Saskatchewan RCMP officers arrested 10 individuals, including eight males and two females. Officers executed 15 warrants for arrest for charges including kidnapping with a firearm, flight from police, impersonation, and failure to comply with court ordered conditions, along with multiple assault and firearms related charges. In addition to the warrants, 12 additional Criminal Code charges were laid in relation to the ongoing investigations. Officers also recovered four vehicles that were previously reported as stolen to police.

Nine of the arrested individuals were remanded into RCMP custody until their court appearances. One individual was released from custody pending their next court appearance.

Loon Lake and Meadow Lake RCMP, along with Saskatchewan RCMP Police Dog Services and Traffic Services assisted in these investigations and arrests.

“Over the course of four days, Saskatchewan RCMP arrested 10 people in the Turtleford area – many of whom we identified as a threat within their respective communities,” says Turtleford RCMP S/Sgt. Ken Burnouf. “This is just one of many examples of how targeted enforcement, the skills of our specialized units like the CRT, and our detachments’ intelligence are utilized to ensure violent offenders are held accountable.”
