On October 24, 2025 at approximately 4:42 pm Whitehorse RCMP received a report that a male followed and tried to grab a hold of a ten-year-old girl who was riding her bicycle in the McIntyre subdivision area.
The child was riding her bicycle and an unknown male began following her on an electric bike. The male starting asked her questions and caught up to the child and reached out to grab a hold of her. The child got away and immediately reported what had happened to a trusted adult.
The male was described as heavier-set, very dark skin tone, and his voice was high pitched, sounding like a youth’s voice. He had a hood over his head and was wearing a ski mask that covered his face. The male was wearing a light green hoodie, gray sweatpants, gold chain, and shoes described as “Jordans”.
RCMP officers and Kwanlin Dün First Nation Community Safety officers made extensive patrols in the area and surrounding subdivisions and did not locate anyone matching this description.
Whitehorse RCMP are hoping that the public may be able to assist with information that will lead to identifying this male. If you have dash camera footage and were in the area or remember seeing a person that matches this description, or know who it is, please contact the Whitehorse RCMP as soon as possible.
