Police investigate assault on middle school student

On November 13 2025, just before 9:00 a.m. West Shore RCMP responded to a call of an assault, outdoors on the school grounds at Spencer Middle School located at 1026 Goldstream Ave in Langford.

Multiple Frontline and School Liaison officers attended the school within minutes of the call being received.  Police determined a male adult had entered onto school property and assaulted a male student. The suspect then fled from the property prior to police arrival. The student suffered serious non-life-threatening injuries for which they received medical care.

Evidence gathered suggests that this is an isolated and targeted incident, and police do not believe any other students or staff to be at risk. 

The suspect, identified as a 35-year-old male was arrested in relation to assault and is currently in custody. He is set to appear before the courts tomorrow, November 14, 2025. The suspect and the victim have no relation to each other. 

The investigation is on going and police are not releasing any further details at this time.
