On Dec. 28, 2025, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Morden RCMP were notified of a break and enter in progress at a hydro station located off Highway 3, on Road 18 North in the RM of Stanley.

Officers responded immediately and arrived to find damage to the building and the suspects no longer on scene.

The investigation has determined that three unknown male suspects broke into the building and were on scene for less than 10 minutes, leaving with a number of items.

Several ground chains, spare electrical fuses specific to Manitoba Hydro and other small items were all taken. The value of the stolen property is estimated at over $14,000.

It is unknown what type of vehicle the suspects were in, but they are described as the following:

  • Suspect 1 – wearing a dark blue jacket or hoodie with white cursive writing on front and a circular decal on the left arm, a grey hood, black cap, and grey winter boots;
  • Suspect 2 – dark black/blue jacket, black boots; and
  • Suspect 3 – dark grey jacket with white square decal on left chest, black boots.
