RCMP Major Crimes Unit charge male for Calling Lake murder - Update

Through the course of the investigation, it has been determined that these offenses were targeted in nature. As a result, there is no ongoing risk to the general public and no concern for public safety related to this occurrence. The Alberta RCMP remains committed to conducting a thorough investigation and ensuring those responsible are held accountable. We want to assure the community that your Alberta RCMP is working diligently to investigate these crimes and to maintain the safety and security of all residents.

This investigation was very thorough and involved utilizing many resources, including the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, RPAS, Alberta Sheriffs, and many neighboring RCMP detachments.
