The sister of a missing woman is issuing a plea for new information that could assist in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 51-year-old Jennifer Provencal.

Jennifer Provencal’s disappearance is suspicious and the RCMP believe it may be the result of foul play.  North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) is now leading the investigation.

The last known sighting of Jennifer Provencal was in the small community of Forest Grove, BC, near 100 Mile House, on February 5, 2025. She was reported missing on April 21, 2025.

Provencal’s sister, Johanne Provencal, has issued a video plea in hopes it could prompt new tips that could lead to answers for the family.

I miss the long calls that I would have with Jennifer on the phone and hearing the love that she had for her sons.

She loved being a mom.

After my kids were born, spent a lot of time, loved being an aunt too, and she loved Forest Grove.

You know, for 20 years she loved Forest Grove.

In my heart I'm holding these memories of her, you know, laughing, her happy dance, walking to the cabin. I'm holding on to all of those memories and I'm holding on to Jennifer.

With the circumstances of her going missing, I'm sad to say that I don't think Jennifer is alive. And so now I'm thinking about, you know, finding her, finding her remains.

And you know, I'm asking for help so that, to do that, so that the people who loved her can honour her life and celebrate her life and, you know, that we can, we can begin a natural grieving process.

If there's anything that you think can be of help to finding out, you know, where she is, where, where, she's been, where her remains are, remembering interactions with her when you last saw her, interactions with people that she knows, just anything that you can remember.

I want to say something to the person or the persons wh o know where Jennifer is, who know what happened to her. I would just like to ask you to please lead us to, to her remains.

That's all I'm asking, so that we can bury her with love. We can come together and share, you know, the beautiful memories we have of who she was and the people that she touched in her life.

I just want one more day with my sister. And even if that means my sister's remains and bringing together the people who loved her, just one more day, like a dignified last day, that's filled with, with, with love.

“I miss the long calls that I would have with Jennifer on the phone and hearing the love that she had for her sons, she loved being a mom,” Johanne Provencal said. “With the circumstances of her going missing, I'm sad to say that I don't think Jennifer is alive. Police believe there are people with critical information in the case that have not yet spoken to investigators.

“Our investigators continue to explore all avenues in our search for Jennifer. While her disappearance is suspicious, we have not given up hope in locating her and finding answers for her loved ones,” said Cpl. David Bandurak with NDMCU. “If you have information that could help, even if it seems minor, please contact police.”

Johanne Provencal is also making a plea for anyone with information to come forward.

“If there's anything that you think of that can be of help in finding out where she is, or where her remains are, please reach out. I just want one more day with my sister, even if that means my sister's remains and bringing together the people who loved her one last time.”

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jennifer Provencal is asked to contact 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456. Please quote file 2025-1254.
