100 Mile House RCMP responded to 90 calls for service between March 10, 2026 and March 17, 2026. This is a summary of the highlights.

File: 2026-769

On March 10, 2026, RCMP received a report of a break and enter and theft of fuel at a business property located on the 7000-block of Watch Lake Road. A vehicle described as a green Ford pick up with a white tailgate crashed through a locked gate at this location where fuel was siphoned from an excavator.

Om March 11, 2026, RCMP were requested by Deka Lake Fire Department to attend a suspicious fire that had occurred on Mahood Lake Road near Burgess Road. Police attended were it was determined that a recycling shed at Mount Spruce Park had been destroyed by fire. The incident was reported to police at 1:23 a.m. and it is suspected that the fire was deliberately set.

On March 12, 2026, RCMP received a report of a break and enter and theft of RV trailer taken from a property on the 4000-block of Binnie Road. Police attended where it was found that a residence had been entered and Cougar RV trailer had been taken from the property. It is suspected that the incident occurred between the morning of March 11, 2026 and the evening of March 12, 2026. The RV trailer has not been recovered.

On March 12, 2026, RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on the 4000-block of Binnie Road. Police attended where it was determined a door to an outside structure had been removed and a snowmobile was suspected as taken. Police believe that both incidents are related due to proximity of the events. Police are continuing the investigation into both incidents.

On March 13, 2026, RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on Kennedy Road. Police attended where it was advised the residence had been entered and jewellery and cash were taken. It was advised by the complainant that a female had come to the residence earlier that morning asking for water for her dogs and that the incident occurred after the homeowner left for a short time. It is suspected that a pet door was accessed for entry.

On March 14, 2026, RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on Kennedy Road. Police attended where an adult male and adult female were located inside an abandoned structure and both were detained. Police determined that the adult male was on conditions of no contact with the female and he was arrested for breach of bail conditions. The male was held in custody and subsequently released by the courts for a future appearance. The incident into the break and enter report and the previous report on Kennedy Road are currently under investigation.

On March 16, 2026, RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 97 near 108 Mile Ranch. Police attended with BC Emergency Health Services where it was determined a vehicle had gone off the roadway after hitting icy conditions. Two occupants were treated at the scene and taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment for undetermined injuries.

On March 16, 2026, RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on the 4000-block of Mahood Lake Road. The residence was entered where it is believed that the suspects squatted inside the residence for several hours as was evident by food being consumed and a fire being lit. A shed was also entered on the property. The incident is believed to have occurred between March 6, 2026 and March 8, 2026.

On March 16, 2026, RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a garage at a residence on Bridge Creek Place. It is suspected that the garage was entered and the suspect likely stayed inside a vehicle which was in the garage. Police made further inquiries with neighboring residents where it was determined two vehicles in the same area had been entered and items were taken. Police are awaiting surveillance footage to assist in the investigation.

On March 17, 2026, RCMP received a report of a suspicious incident on Highway 97 north of 108 Mile Ranch. The caller reported that two people were observed by a vehicle that appeared to have broken down and attempted to flag down motorists to stop. As the caller drove by, something was then thrown at their vehicle. Police attended where a red 2001 Dodge Ram truck was located with no one around. After further investigation it was determined the truck was stolen from a business location on Tatton Station Road which had not yet been reported.
