100 Mile House RCMP responded to 114 calls for service between April 14, 2026 and April 21, 2026. This is a summary of the highlights.
File 2026-1273
On April 21, 2026, RCMP received a report of a possible stolen vehicle that was at a property on the 4000-block of Highway 97. Police attended and located a green 1993 Geo Tracker without rear wheels and confirmed that it had been reported stolen in 2023. The vehicle was towed.
File 2026-1280
On April 21, 2026, RCMP received a report of a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed, passing unsafely, and hitting the center meridian on Highway 97 at 103 Mile House. Police made patrols and located the vehicle in 100 Mile House and observed it traveling at 96 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped and investigators observed possible signs of alcohol consumption. A demand for a breath test was made but the driver allegedly refused. The driver was served an immediate roadside prohibition from driving for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days. Additionally, the driver was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed and issued a 7-day impoundment on the vehicle.

On April 22, 2026, RCMP received a report of a horse that had been shot and killed on private property on the 7000-block of Burgess Road. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime overnight. The police investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information, CCTV or dash cam video is urged to contact the RCMP.
File 2026-1293
On April 22, 2026, RCMP received a report of an arson to a property located on the 500-block of Horse Lake Road. Police attended and found that a corner of a structure under development had been damaged by fire. It is suspected that the fire went out on its own before it could spread further. The incident is believed to have occurred after 1:30 a.m. Anyone who has any information, CCTV or dashcam footage or may have seen a vehicle or anyone on foot in the area that night is urged to report it to police.
File 2026-1309
On April 28, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft from a property on Keene Road near Edmund Lake. Several "private property" and "no trespassing" signs were taken from the driveway area of the property. A suspect vehicle is described as a beige or grey Chevrolet truck with a black tailgate.
File 2026-1318
On April 23, 2026, RCMP received a report of two ATV’s that appeared to be hidden on Sheridan Lake Road West. Police attended and found a black Suzuki and black Kawasaki ATV. They had been reported stolen on April 19, 2026 from a property in Roe Lake. The ATVs were seized and the owners notified.
File 2026-1322
On April 23, 2026, at 5:43 p.m., RCMP received a report of a fire at a residence on the 7000-block of Gauthier Road. Police attended where the fire was extinguished by Deka Lake Fire Department. The fire was deemed as suspicious and is believed to have been intentionally set. Police are working with the Office of the Fire Commissioner in this incident. Police are asking for any information, surveillance or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the report. The structure, which was not occupied at the time of the fire, had severe damage.

On April 25, 2026, RCMP were conducting patrols on Highway 97 when a vehicle was observed apparently accelerating and speeding onto Horse Lake Road. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver who displayed possible signs of alcohol consumption. A breath test was conducted using an approved screening device resulting in a fail. The driver was issued an immediate roadside
prohibition from driving for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
File 2026-1344
On April 25, 2026, RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Telqua Drive. Police attended with BC Emergency Health Services and local Fire Rescue. Investigators found a vehicle had struck a utility pole and a fire hydrant. The single occupant of the vehicle was injured and transported to hospital for further treatment of undetermined injuries. Police are continuing the investigation
and believe alcohol was a factor in the collision. BC Hydro were called to the scene for the downed lines and damaged pole.
File 2026-1372
On April 28, 2026, RCMP received a report of a fraudulent purchase of an ATV. The seller who had posted an ATV for sale met with a buyer who produced several thousand dollars which were all in denominations of 100 dollar bills. The transaction was made and when the seller brought the cash to the bank to make the deposit, it was discovered that all of the currency was counterfeit. A name was not obtained but the buyer was a male in the company of a female who were driving an older white Ford F350 with Alberta plates.
