100 Mile House RCMP responded to 139 calls for service for this two week period between May 13, 2026 and May 26, 2026. This is a summary of the highlights.

File 2026-1628

On 2026-05-16 RCMP received a report of a theft of RV trailer taken from a property on the 2000-block of Eagle Creek Road. Sometime a between May 12 and May 13, 2026, a 2008 Montana RV trailer with BC license plate WVY 73G was taken.

File 2026-1636

On 2026-05-25 RCMP were conducting patrols Highway 97 north of Exeter Station Road. A vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed heading north which radar confirmed as 121 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped, the driver was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

File 2026-1654

On May 19, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft of vehicle taken from a property on the 4000-block of Blueberry Way. Sometime over the two previous days, a white 2013 ford F350 was taken from the property. The owner was advised by an acquaintance that the vehicle was abandoned in the ditch a short distance away. The vehicle was towed and returned.

File 2026-1659

On May 19, 2026, RCMP were conducting patrols on Highway 97 near 108 Mile Ranch. A vehicle was observed with tinted windows and was stopped. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be prohibited from driving. The man was arrested and subsequently released to attend court at a later date. The driver was also issued violation tickets for having no driver license and driving contrary to restrictions for operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

File 2026-1670

On May 20, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft that occurred at a property located on the 6000-block of Highway 24. Apparently, a cargo trailer on the property was entered and the saddlebags, seat, gas tank, side covers, and exhaust system were stripped off a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was inside. The saddlebags, gas tank, and side covers are all blue in colour.

File 2026-1686

On May 21, 2026, RCMP received a report of a possibly intoxicated male operating an electric bike on Tatton Station Road. A second call was received advising the person had since fallen off the bike. Police attended and found the man was uninjured. Observations of alcohol consumption were made and a breath test was conducted using an approved screening device which resulted in a fail. The man was issued an immediate roadside prohibition from driving for 90 days and the bike was impounded for 30 days.

File 2026-1691

On May 21, 2026, RCMP received a report of an attempted break and enter to a property located on the 3000 block of Crystal Springs Road. At approximately 9:30 p.m., a man described as 5’11, slim build, wearing a black hat, red plaid jacket, and blue jeans was observed trying to cut a lock to a gate on private property. The man was confronted by the complainant and the suspect dropped a set of bolt cutters before departing in a 90’s era Dodge truck that was black in colour with white
fender flares.

On May 22, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft from vehicle which was parked on the 200-block of 3rd Street. An enclosed trailer was entered where a Hilti Power actuated nail gun was taken.

File 2026-1701

On May 22, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft of vehicle taken from a property on the 5000-block of Perkins Road. Sometime after May 20, 2026, a grey 2012 Chevrolet Corvette with BC license plate 292 SSJ was stolen.

File 2026-1719

On May 24, 2026, RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 97 near Lac La Hache. Police attended with BC Emergency Healy Services and found motorcycle in the ditch with the single occupant suffering from injuries sustained in the crash. It is suspected that a possible mechanical issue occurred on the motorcycle that led to the crash. The driver of the motorcycle was treated at scene.

File 2026-1720

On May 24, 2026, RCMP were conducting patrols on Highway 97 near Lac La Hache and observed a vehicle that was determined to be associated to a prohibited driver. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was confirmed to be the registered owner who was prohibited from driving. The man was arrested and subsequently released to attend court at a later date. The man was issued a violation ticket for no driver license and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

File 2026-1723

On May 24, 2026, BC Highway Patrol were conducting enforcement on Highway 97 in 100 Mile House. A vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed which radar confirmed as 104 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped, the driver was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

File 2026-1724

On May 24, 2026, RCMP received a report of a vehicle fire on the 500-block of Cedar Avenue. 100 Mile House Fire Department was on scene upon police arrival. Evidence suggests that the vehicle was deliberately set on fire by a person wearing a hooded sweater. The vehicle was a red 1997 GMC truck which was unoccupied in a parking lot at this location. The incident occurred between 9:30 and 9:55 p.m.

File 2026-1725

On May 25, 2026, RCMP received a report of a trailer which was stolen from a property on the 5000-block of Kennedy Road. A 2024 Big Tex flat deck trailer with BC license plate 166 28L was stolen. A black truck was reportedly seen leaving the area with the trailer in tow at 3:30 a.m., heading toward Forest Grove.
