100 Mile House RCMP responded to 96 calls for service during this period.
 

File# 2026-4354WL
On May 26, 2026, BC Highway Patrol were conducting enforcement on Highway 97 in 100 Mile House when a vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed which radar confirmed as 96 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver spoken with where it was determined that the vehicle had not had valid insurance for several months. The driver was issued violation tickets for no insurance and excessive speed and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

On May 28, 2026, RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on the 7000 block of Canim Lake Rd South. Police attended with EHS where a vehicle was located off an embankment. The driver of the vehicle who was the lone occupant were able to free themselves prior to emergency services attending. The driver was assessed by EHS and transported to hospital for undetermined injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.

On May 30, 2026, RCMP were conducting patrols on Horse Lake Rd. A vehicle was observed with a mechanical deficiency which led to the vehicle stop. The driver was spoken with where observations of alcohol consumption were made. A breath test was conducted using an approved screening device which resulted in a fail. The driver was served an immediate roadside prohibition from driving for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days. Contraband cigarettes were also seized under the Excise Act.

On May 30, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft of vehicle taken from a parking lot on the 300 block of Birch Ave. Sometime between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM, a grey 2006 Ford F350 with BC license plate JY 3578 was taken. The vehicle has not been recovered.

On May 31, 2026, RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision with a light pole on Highway 97 near 90 Mile Loop Rd. Police attended with EHS where a vehicle was located with front end damage and the light pole was down on the highway. The driver who was the single occupant reportedly fell asleep which resulted in the collision.
The driver was assessed by EHS but did not wish to attend the hospital. Highways were alerted to the downed pole.

On May 31, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft of atv taken from a property on the 6000 block of Little Green Lake Rd. Sometime after 6:00 AM, a red Honda Pioneer side by side was taken. It has not been recovered.

On May 31, 2026, RCMP received a report of mischief to a vehicle on the 70 block of Dogwood Ave. A tire to a vehicle was reported as being punctured and it is believed that the incident was intentional. It is believed to have occurred at some point during the same day.

On May 31, 2026, RCMP received a report of a vehicle driving erratic at high rates of speed on Highway 97 south from Lac La Hache. Police attended and observed the vehicle make an unsafe pass on the right hand side of the shoulder of the road at speeds believed to be well over the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped and the driver spoken with. After speaking with other motorists and the actions observed by Police, the driver was charged with drive without due care and attention in relation to stunting. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

On May 31, 2026, RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on the 7000 block of Canim Lake Rd South. Police attended with EHS where it was determined that a vehicle had left the roadway with three occupants inside. All three occupants were treated at scene and taken to hospital for undetermined injuries that were not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the vehicle reported hitting the soft shoulder of the road which led to the vehicle leaving the roadway.
