100 Mile House RCMP responded to 139 calls for service between June 9, 2026 – June 16, 2026. This is a summary of the highlights.
File 2026-1928
On June 11, 2026, RCMP were conducting a patrol on Highway 97 near Lac La Hache. A vehicle was observed travelling on the highway and when queried showed no valid insurance. The vehicle was stopped and the two occupants spoken with. Drug paraphernalia was observed in the vehicle and both were arrested. A search of the vehicle yielded several ounces of suspected cocaine, several ounces of suspected methamphetamine, and other items that are believed to be related to drug trafficking. The adult male and an adult female were later released. The investigation is ongoing with the goal of forwarding a package to the BC Prosecution Service for their assessment.
File 2026-1945
On June 12, 2026, RCMP received a report of a person attempting to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a business on Horse Lake Road. Police were called after a male attempted to pay for items with the bill and when confronted about the bill being fake decided to pay for the items with a debit card and left prior to police attendance. The male was identified and police continue to investigate. Although the reports regarding counterfeit currency in the community has lessened to some degree, police are still receiving occasional reports of counterfeit $50 and $100 bills in circulation.

On June 12, 2026, BC Highway Patrol were conducting enforcement on Highway 97 near 103 Mile House. A vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed which radar confirmed as 136 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped where the driver was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

On June 12, 2026, RCMP were conducting patrols on Highway 97 in 100 Mile House when a vehicle was observed not stopping at a stop sign. The vehicle was stopped and the driver spoken with where observations of alcohol consumption were made. A breath test was conducted using an approved screening device which resulted in a fail. The driver was issued an immediate roadside driving prohibition for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
File 2026-1951
On June 13, 2026, RCMP were conducting patrols on Highway 97 in 100 Mile House. A vehicle was observed driving erratically as it entered Highway 97. The vehicle was stopped and the driver spoken with. Alcohol consumption was suspected and a breath test was conducted using an approved screening device which resulted in a fail. The driver was issued an immediate roadside driving prohibition for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
File 2026-1954
On June 12, 2026, RCMP received a report of a shoplifting incident on the 100 -block of Highway 97. At approximately 10:00 a.m., a male wearing a red and black toque and tan-coloured coat entered the business and apparently stole a display of several lighters.
File 2026-1955
On June 13, 2026, RCMP received a report of mischief to a commercial building on the 400-block of Cedar Avenue. Sometime overnight a window on the side of the building was smashed. No entry was made.
File 2026-1959
On June 13, 2026, RCMP received a report of a theft from a commercial property on the 4500-block of Canim Hendrix Lake Road. A yellow 2015 John Deere excavator was taken as well as some hand tools. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between the evening of June 11, 2026 and the morning of June 12, 2026. A gate was cut to enter the property and the machine would have been trailered from the area.
File 2026-1977
On June 15, 2026, RCMP received a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 97 at Exeter Station Road. Police attended with BC Emergency Health Services where it was determined that a vehicle travelling on east on Exeter Station Road was struck in the intersection by a northbound vehicle. A
passenger from one of the vehicles was taken to hospital by ambulance for undetermined injuries.
File 2026-1979
On June 15, 2026, RCMP received a report of a three vehicle collision on Highway 97 near Spring Lake Road. Police attended with EHS where it was determined that traffic in the area was stopped for road construction. A vehicle approaching the line up of vehicles did not stop in time which caused a rear end collision into a stopped vehicle which then pushed forward, and rear-ended another stopped vehicle. There were no injuries and traffic was halted in the area for a short period while the scene was cleared.
