Break and enter – residence

A homeowner reported their residence on Charles Drive had been broken into. Personal items, including vehicle keys, were stolen by the unknown suspects. The home was reportedly unsecured, allowing easy access. Residents are reminded to ensure their doors and windows are locked to help prevent similar incidents.

Excessive speed

A vehicle was observed by an officer travelling at a high rate of speed on Lougheed Highway near Lance Drive. Radar confirmed the speed to be 92 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. A roadside stop was conducted, resulting in a speeding ticket being issued. The vehicle was also impounded.

Two vehicle collision

A two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Evergreen Road and Cheam Avenue. Officers observed a sedan and a large van, both with visible damage. No injuries were reported. Impairment was initially reported to be a factor. However, upon police attendance, impairment was ruled out. The driver of the sedan was issued a violation ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act, and the vehicle was towed due to significant damage.

Three vehicle collision

Officers responded to a three-vehicle collision on Lougheed Highway near Bodnar Road. The collision occurred after vehicles in both directions had stopped to allow a loose dog to cross the roadway. A third vehicle approached and was unable to stop in time, rear-ending another vehicle and pushing it into oncoming traffic. All three vehicles sustained significant damage. No injuries were reported. The dog safely crossed the road without incident. A violation ticket was issued to the driver who caused the rear-end collision.
