The Castlegar RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a potential vehicle of interest related to a damaged vehicle and theft of fuel.
On August 11, 2025, the Castlegar RCMP received a report of theft of fuel from a panel truck parked at 132 Hall Road, Castlegar, BC.
The panel truck had its fuel tank drilled from underneath and a significant amount of fuel was stolen. Damage to the fuel tank is extensive, along with contamination of the local environment.
Through investigation a vehicle of interest has been identified.
The vehicle is described as a red, older model Ford pick-up truck.
The Castlegar RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information in this matter to contact the Castlegar RCMP non-emergency line at 250-365-7721.
