The Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment (UFVRD) is celebrating a proud milestone, 75 years of policing service and is inviting the community to join in the celebration at it’s upcoming Open House.
Date: Saturday, August 16, 2025
Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location: Chilliwack RCMP Detachment, 45924 Airport Road,
This family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to explore the work of the RCMP and connect with the people who serve your community. This year’s open house will feature special displays and activities in recognition of 75 years of policing in Chilliwack.
“We’re excited to welcome the public to our open house,” says Inspector Harinder Kheleh, Operations Officer of the Chilliwack RCMP. “This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 75 years of service in the region. It’s a great chance to connect with the community and share what we do.”

- RCMP vehicle tours
- Red Serge photo booth
- 75th Anniversary commemorative displays
- Face painting for kids
- Equipment and tactical gear exhibits
- Guided tours of the cell block
- Name the buffalo contest
“We invite everyone to come meet our excellent team of RCMP officers and hardworking support staff. Our team is excited to welcome the community to our detachment and share firsthand some of the great work they do.” Added Superintendent Darren Pankratz, Officer in Charge of UFVRD.
No registration is required. Community members are encouraged to stop by and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the work we do.
