The 3rd Annual Wounded Warrior Charity Hockey Game was the most successful event to date, raising over $40,000 for Wounded Warriors Canada.

Held on December 5 in a packed arena, local first responders and military members faced off against the Comox Valley Glacier Kings in a spirited, hard-fought game filled with hard-fought plays, fun surprises, and—above all—an inspiring display of unity.

Thanks to the outstanding support of the community, this year’s total brings the three-year fundraising amount to over $82,000, directly benefiting Wounded Warrior programs on Vancouver Island. These funds support first responders, military members, veterans, and their families who are living with PTSD and other Operational Stress Injuries as a result of their service.

Sgt. Rob Brennan of the Comox Valley RCMP captured the spirit of the event, stating:

“We are once again absolutely astonished by the overwhelming support the Comox Valley has shown—not just for this event, but for all our women and men in uniform and their families. It’s not just about the funds raised. Filling the arena sends a powerful message to those who may be suffering in silence that they are not alone, and that we are in this together. I am extremely proud of every player and volunteer who made this event possible, and deeply grateful to every person and donor who supported this incredible cause.”

The Wounded Warrior Charity Hockey Game Committee extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who made this event possible, including the fans, supporters, volunteers, generous local businesses, and the Glacier Kings Hockey Club for their continued partnership.

Don’t miss out next year! Watch for ticket announcements in 2026 as we continue to make a meaningful impact for those who have sacrificed so much.
