Coquitlam RCMP investigating serious collision involving pedestrian in the 3300 block of David Avenue near Coast Meridian Road in Coquitlam.
At approximately 7:45 a.m. on February 2, 2026, Coquitlam RCMP responded to the 3300 block of David Avenue for a serious collision involving a pedestrian.
The pedestrian has been transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
Coquitlam RCMP Investigative Support Team have engaged the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and are on-scene.
The Eastbound lanes of David Avenue and Southbound lanes of Coast Meridian Road are currently closed. There is no estimated time for re-opening. Coquitlam RCMP is asking the public to remain out of the area.
Coquitlam RCMP is asking anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam footage or witnessed the collision to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2026-2713.
As this investigation is active and on-going no further information will be released at this time.
