Coquitlam RCMP responding to a possible threat at a school in the 500 block of Poirier Street, Coquitlam.

At approximately 12:25 p.m. on February 4, 2026, Coquitlam RCMP received a report of a possible threat to a school in the 500 block of Poirier Street, Coquitlam. The school was placed into a hold and secure and Coquitlam RCMP officers are currently on-scene.

Out of abundance of caution additional schools in the area have also been placed in a hold and secure.

Coquitlam RCMP asks the public to remain out of the area. As this investigation is actively unfolding no further information will be provided at this time.
