Coquitlam RCMP receive additional alleged threats toward Coquitlam Schools.

On February 5, 2026, Coquitlam RCMP received additional alleged threats toward schools in the Coquitlam School District. The affected schools initiated their hold and secure protocols, and officers attended to ensure the safety and security of staff and students.

Coquitlam RCMP are working tirelessly to investigate these incidents with the safety and security of the community being of the utmost importance. 

“We recognize incidents of this nature can be concerning to our community and can have an impact on the sense of safety and security. We want to assure you we are working collaboratively with the School District as well as the affected schools to address these ongoing incidents” says Sergeant Adriana O’Malley, Coquitlam RCMP Media Relations Officer, “Our investigators are working around the clock to advance these investigations and identify those involved.” 

Coquitlam RCMP and the Coquitlam School District are working collaboratively and remain in close, ongoing communication.
