Coquitlam RCMP is hosting a free event dedicated to Child Safety

Certified technicians will check car seat installations offer guidance, education, and help parents, caregivers to ensure their child’s car seat is correctly installed.

Date: Saturday April 25^th, 2026

Time: 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

Location: Hyde Creek Recreation center. Address: 1379 Laurier Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC

The Coquitlam RCMP Car Seat Clinic has been serving the community for several years. The clinic is to educate parents and caregivers in the correct installation and use of car seats.  The Coquitlam RCMP along with ICBC and BCAA will provide personalized assistance to ensure your child’s car seat meets Canadian safety standards. 

These sessions are approximately 30 minutes in length and will provide hands on experience to assist everyone on how to properly install their child’s car seat. Please bring your car seat manual as well as your vehicles manual. Information and guidance will also be provided on transitioning between car seats as children grow through different stages.

These free, hands- on sessions are designed to provide reassurance, expert guidance, and confidence that your child’s care seat is properly installed and suited for their stage of growth.”

Appointments can be made online at Public: Coquitlam RCMP Car Seat Clinic and are recommended, although not required . Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Please join us rain or shine to this very educational and important event.
