Flurry of incidents involving barber shops in Fort St John

The Fort St John RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in investigating three incidents that occurred between July 5 and July 12, 2025, at three separate Barber Shops.

On July 5, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m. (2025-5837) a break in occurred at a barber shop near the intersection of 96A Street and 93 Avenue in Fort St John, BC, and a suspect was observed on surveillance cameras.

On July 12, 2025, shortly after 3:30 a.m. (2025-6068), an arson occurred at a barber shop in the 9200 block of 100 Street. Immediately after, a separate barber shop in the 9800 block of 93 Avenue was vandalized (2025-6067).

The two July 12 incidents are believed to be related as a white flat-deck pickup was seen leaving the scene of the first barber shop then arriving at the second.

The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information regarding any of these incidents, the suspect or the vehicle to contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
