On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 3:46 am, Fort St John RCMP were notified of a shooting. BC Ambulance had responded to the 9500 Block of 96th Ave for a report that a person had been shot.
Police immediately attended and found one person had been struck by gunfire while a second person appeared to be unharmed.
Witnesses reported hearing numerous gunshots in the area. Police blocked all traffic in the area of 96th Ave and 96th Street as they conducted a forensic examination.
This is the third shooting event in a week, and the last within 12 hours. Both prior shootings resulted in arrests and the execution of search warrants.
The RCMP are working tirelessly to locate and arrest those responsible for this latest shooting.
