Two unknown men were reported to have broken into a smoke shop on Silverview Road. Numerous items were stolen. The investigation remains ongoing.

Excessive speed

While conducting proactive patrols on Flood Hope Road, an officer observed a vehicle travelling at an estimated speed of 100–105 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as a novice driver carrying multiple passengers. The driver was issued tickets for excessive speeding and driving contrary to their licence conditions. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Disturbance

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated man attempting to fight members of the public on Fraser Street. Officers provided multiple opportunities for the man to leave the area voluntarily, which he refused. He was arrested and held in custody until sober and no longer a risk to himself or others.

Traffic Stop

An officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle displaying an incorrect licence plate. The driver, who is well known to police, was observed to have illegal tobacco in plain view. A subsequent search revealed drug paraphernalia, and the driver admitted to consuming drugs within the previous hour. Roadside testing resulted in a 24-hour driving suspension. The vehicle was impounded due to multiple safety defects, and several traffic violation tickets were issued.

Assault Police Officer

Officers were called to a bar in Hope after receiving reports of a woman attempting to fight other patrons. Upon police arrival, one woman assaulted an officer while a second woman assaulted another officer. Both women were found to be highly intoxicated and were arrested. They were later released once sober and issued provincial violation tickets under the Liquor Control Act.
