A family remains in hospital this morning after an early morning residential fire on the North Shore.
On October 18, 2025, Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called by Kamloops Fire Rescue around 4:20 a.m. to assist near the 1300-block of Sitka Street where large amounts of smoke were also visible in the area.
“All three residents were able to get out of the house, unfortunately they did suffer injuries as a result of the fire and remain in hospital in serious condition,” said Corporal Dana Napier Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “The investigation into the cause of the fire is in the early stages and continues to be ongoing.”
