Two men have been arrested after allegedly stealing a security vehicle in Salmon Arm and fleeing to Kamloops.

Just after 11 p.m. on December 2, 2025, frontline officers from the Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a report from a security guard that his vehicle had been stolen from a business in the 300-block of Alexander Street.

“The vehicle was located by Kamloops RCMP officers and traffic stop was attempted in Dallas.  The suspects fled from one officer but ran over the spike belt of another,” states Corporal Brett Urano RCMP spokesperson.

The suspect vehicle continued driving on four deflated tires to a parking lot near Dallas Drive and Todd Road, where the two men were arrested.

The 25 and 38-year-old men, both from Salmon Arm, are expected to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court at a later date.
