Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment is asking the public to help identify an alleged suspect involved in a theft and an assault of a security guard.

On January 4, 2026, at approximately 3:05 p.m. Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP frontline police received a report of a theft in a store.  The suspect was chased by security from the 300-block of Highway 5 after stealing approximately $365.00 worth of meat and cheese and fleeing out the back door.

“The Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP are releasing an image of the alleged suspect in the hopes of advancing the investigation,” said Corporal Dana Napier. “The suspect was chased by the security guard to a nearby residential area where she was pushed and subsequently received minor injuries from the altercation.”
